I believe Oliver is human. If I become pregnant, I'll be sure to raise that child well.

Oliver's Mate (オリバーの花嫁, Oribā no Hanayome) is an unnamed character from Showman of the Century Who Launched Oliver: Yoshio Kou, the fourth episode of The Lives of Eccentrics.

She is a young woman who volunteers to mate with Oliver on live television.

Appearance

She is a young woman of average height and thin build. She has long, straight dark hair with a hairpin on the right side of her head.

She wears a skirt, when Yoshio Kou introduces her, she wears a t-shirt and a necklace, during the broadcast, a buttoned, sleeveless plaid shirt.

Personality

She wholeheartedly believes that Oliver is a human. She also appears to want others to recognize him as one, thus she is willing to have sex with Oliver on television as well as raise their offspring if she becomes pregnant. She thinks that the media might portray her as some whore who only had sex with Oliver for money, despite that, she doesn't care what anyone, including her parents, thinks of her, since she truly believes Oliver to be human.[1]

History

Background

She was born around 1957. Her father abandoned her mother. At some point she starts working as an actress and not too long after that, in 1976, she volunteers to mate with Oliver on live television.[1]

Showman of the Century Who Launched Oliver: Yoshio Kou

Yoshio Kou proposes letting Oliver mate with a live human female live on camera. Though members of the media doubt that any woman would be willing to do so, Kou introduces a 19-year-old unknown talent who is more than willing to bear Oliver's child. As the woman makes a contract with the media, Kou watches on and savors the attention his bizarre idea will elicit.

In the hotel, before the broadcast she is instructed to undress in front of Oliver before undressing him, she is also told that Oliver's legs are tied to the bed, so, in case he gets too excited, it'll be fine. One of the crew members asks if her parents know about this. She says that, despite the fact that the media might portray her as some whore who only had sex with Oliver for money, she doesn't care what anyone, including her parents, thinks of her, since she truly believes Oliver to be human.

The broadcast begins. As cameras film her from behind, the woman takes off her clothes and prepares to mount Oliver. Suddenly, Kou bursts into the room and orders the event to be terminated, as tests have concluded that Oliver has 48 chromosomes and is thus a chimpanzee. Oliver breaks free of his arm restraints as the woman is dragged out of the room, despite her pleas to be allowed to continue.[1]
