Star Platinum (スタープラチナ(星の白金), Sutā Purachina) es el Stand de Jotaro Kujo, apareciendo principalmente en la tercera parte de la serie JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Stardust Crusaders. También aparece en la cuarta parte, Diamond is Unbreakable, y la sexta parte, Stone Ocean.
Star Platinum es un Stand de corto alcance con velocidad y fuerza excepcionales, y también obtiene la habilidad de detener el tiempo en la pelea contra DIO. Su increíble poder, junto con las aptitudes de pelea de Jotaro, la hacen una de las Stands más fuertes e icónicas de la serie.
Apariencia
Star Platinum es un Stand humanoide, con la forma de un hombre alto y fornido con proporciones similares a las de Jotaro, pero un poco más musculoso. En el arte a color, su piel suele ser de un tinte entre morado, azul, y verde, con pequeñas partes doradas. Su cara y cuerpo tienen colores variados.
Tiene una larga cabellera con un sombreado más oscuro sobre sus ojos y el puente de su nariz, opacando la distinción entre su pelo y cabeza. Los espacios debajo de sus ojos y en sus mejillas y barbilla son de un color más oscuro y claramente divididos del resto del espacio alrededor de su boca y nariz. Tiene una tapa sobre su barbilla y una diadema de tres partes, la parte central de esta tiene la forma de un elípsis vertical. Inicialmente, sus facciónes eran muy similares a las de Jotaro.
Una línea ondeante corre de cada brazo al frente de su torso, continuando hacia sus piernas. Tiene una cantidad mínima de ropa y armadura, incluyendo un short, una bufanda circular, hombreras con un diseño de espiral, guantes largos con tacos en la parte trasera, rodilleras y coderas, un taparrabos, y botas cortas (que le llegan a las rodillas a partir de la Parte 6).
Los patrones de espiral representan el Hamon y el concepto del infinito.[2]

Personalidad
A pesar de no tener su propia conciencia, Jotaro ha descrito a Star Platinum como muy violenta. Es silenciosa, excepto al dar golpes, en donde grita "ORAORAORA!" fuerte y repetidamente. Con una cara relativamente humana, demuestra pequeñas muestras de emoción al ceñir y sonreír.
Star Platinum demuestra un sentido de auto-preservación, como cuando detiene una bala que Jotaro experimentalmente dispara hacia su propia cabeza,[3] protege a Jotaro de los ataques de DIO mientras que el tiempo está detenido, y lo revive de la muerte cercana al directamente hacer latir su corazón.[4] (sin embargo, al considerar el rol pionero de Star Platinum en la serie, esta capacidad podría hablar principalmente sobre las cualidades metafísicas y subconcientes de los usuarios de Stand).
Al comienzo del manga original, Star Platinum es vista con una gran sonrisa tenebrosa. Capacidades sobrehumanas

- Súper Fuerza: Star Platinum posée fuerza inmensa, capaz de lanzar un Jeep con cuatro hombres y una niña fuera del camino de un camión con una mano, luego saca el mismo Jeep de un cañón con solo un auto como un contrapeso,[5] y de destruir diamantes artificiales en segundos.[6] La misma fuerza le permite lanzarse a sí misma y a su usuario hacia el aire para cubrir largas distancias.
- Súper Velocidad: Star Platinum boasts phenomenal speed. Star Platinum cuenta con increíble velocidad. Fue capaz de interceptar una bala disparada a quemarropa,[3] brevemente intercambió golpes con Silver Chariot (mientras que utilizaba a Anubis),[7] y se dice que es capaz de superar la velocidad de la luz.[8]
- Precisión: Star Platinum es increíblemente precisa; puede quirúrgicamente retirar un objeto incrustado en el cráneo de una persona sin causarle daño, atrapar una bala y una Stand diminuta como Lovers entre su pulgar y dedo índice en medio del aire, y crear un dibujo casi fotorrealista de una pequeña mosca egipcia desde una foto oscura y borrosa.[1]

Detener el Tiempo
Al ser activada, Star Platinum puede detener el flujo del tiempo por un breve momento, haciendo que todo alrededor de esta parezca congelado en su lugar. Durante este periodo, Jotaro es capaz de interactuar con cualquier objeto o persona en su alcanze. Las medidas de tiempo mientras que este está detenido corresponden con medidas normales, como es visto cuando se reduce la duración de la habilidad por el efecto de Made in Heaven. Jotaro es incapaz de usar la habilidad consecutivamente, y necesita unos segundos de descanso entre cada uso.[16]

En el mejor momento de Jotaro, la habilidad podía durar hasta unos cinco segundos,[8] pero disminuyó con el tiempo por falta de combate.[2] Diez años después de su uso inicial, Jotaro solo puede detener el tiempo por medio segundo, pero se extiende a entre 1-2 segundos en la segunda mitad de Diamond is Unbreakable.[18][19]
En Stone Ocean, particularmente durante el arco del Visitante, Jotaro parece capaz de tener el tiempo hasta dos segundos, pero la validez de esto es debatible, ya que solo fue mencionado dentro de la ilusión de Jolyne creada por la habilidad de Whitesnake. Durante la batalla final en el Cabo Cañaveral contra Made in Heaven, es capaz de detenerlo hasta cinco segundos.[20]

En el modo historia del juego Eyes of Heaven, Jotaro viene cara a cara con Heaven-Attained DIO, el jefe final del juego. Durante su pelea, el aspecto de mismo tipo de Star Platinum y The World entró en juego una vez más, permitiéndole a Star Platinum aprender la habilidad de The World Over Heaven: Reescribir la Realidad.
Esto le permite a Star Platinum reescribir el tiempo y la realidad completamente, el único límite es que debe ser hecho por sus manos. A pesar de este cambio, la apariencia de Star Platnim no cambia, al contrario de The World Over Heaven.
